About The Founder
Joshua ‘Red’ Russak is the founder of First Time Online™. Graduating from Yeshiva University in 2007, Joshua was ready to take on the world. Having been a voice talent/actor in high school for Microsoft & Nintento, he was destined for fame…but couldn’t find a full time job. Lucky for him (and a high attrition rate), he was hired by Remington International as a technical recruiter. 2 months & 10,000+ cold calls later, Joshua was fired…only to be hired by AC Lion that same week. Joshua proudly held the position of “Executive Recruiter”, dedicated to staffing within the online technical space. Dealing with the leading Web2.0 clientele, he began to understand the vast scope of the online world and the true meaning of web-presence.
After a short while, Joshua began to take on e-mail design/blasts, blogging, SEO and website edits. In May 2008, Joshua made a decision that set him on the path to First Time Online- He was promoted to “Online Marketing/Webmaster”. In August 2008 he was introduced to WordPress, and started MarketingBlog.NET, a blog that began to gain him attention and people wanting help with their own WordPress websites. In January 2009 he parted ways with AC Lion and moved to his home town of Seattle, Washington to start First Time Online. Now known by many as “Red”, Joshua continues to grow his knowledge in WordPress and hopes to continue spreading the word that “your first time online, doesn’t have to hurt!”
